South Florida Bass Fishing

South Florida Everglades bass fishing is heating up even though the water and weather is cooling off. The water levels are dropping and cooling off to the point where the bass are entering the pre-spawn mode. It's going to be an early fishing season for catching huge numbers and hopefully large bass this spring. For more information on fishing for peacock bass and largemouth bass on Lake Okeechobee or the Everglades contact us at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or call me at (954) 445-1811.

South Florida Peacock Bass

Tim & Heather Gray along with Scott Eynon decided to Peacock Bass fishing on Tuesday. They landed 7 fish up to 4 lbs. which Heather was the champ! We fished about 6 hours and fishing was a little tough because of the cooler water. Each day will improve as the weather gets hotter. We did happen to see quite a few bigger male peacocks getting ready to spawn. South Florida Peacock Bass

Peacock bass fishing over the last couple weeks has been outstanding in South Florida around the Miami area. We've had three trips and all these trips have produced quite well. On Friday I had Jim Boone of Alabama and Jim boated 13 peacock bass in about 5 hours of fishing. Jim caught all his fish on shiners with one nice fish just shy of 5 lbs. Guided trips can be booked by contacting us at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or by phone at (954) 445-1811. Check out our other websites by clicking the side blogroll links below.

South Florida Bass Fishing

It's been awhile that we've been out in the Everglades Bass fishing this year. Plaqued by high water it's been tough bass fishing everywhere in South Florida. Water levels dictate the quality of the largemouth fishing except on Lake Okeechobee. We decided to try the Holy land wildlife refuge yesterday and did o'kay. My partner Capt. Victor Cole and I landed about 20 small bass in a half-day all on plastics up to 5 1/2 lbs. With falling water levels starting any day now the bass fishing in South Florida should improve. South Florida Peacock Bass 11-2-08

It's been good peacock bass fishing over the last two weeks in South Florida in the Miami canals. On Saturday Carl Gaudins from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I fished the C-100 canal and landed 7 peacocks up to 4 lbs. Carl caught his fish on shiners and I caught a few on jigs. With the water levels dropping and cooling off fishing will be getting real good over the next few months. We did see a few large male peacocks courting females indicating the water temperatures are close to perfect for spawning which is unusual for this time of year. South Florida Peacock Bass 10-25-08

South Florida Peacock Bass fishing is quite good now that the rainy season is coming to an end. On Saturday we had a guide trip with Ray Rodriguez and family from London, England. This was his second trip with us and we had a nice day catching 12 peacock bass up to 4 lbs. Each fish was caught on live shiners and we fished six hours. Water levels are cleaning up and dropping which should help bass fishing in the Everglades and Lake Okeechobee which has risen. Canals in South Florida are dropping and clearing up which will improve peacock fishing dramatically.

South Florida Bass Fishing

Here is an example of what South Florida bass fishing can be like. On Wednesday while peacock bass fishing in Miami Chip Timmons came up to us and asked if we could weigh his huge largemouth bass! We happened to have the boga grips out and this beauty weighed slightly over 10 lbs. Chip also didn't have a great camera on board to capture any good pictures. Well Chip we were glad to help you get memories of this trophy catch and I'll e-mail you plenty of pictures! E-mail us at floridafishing@bellsouth.net for more information on many different peacock bass & largemouth bass fishing options.

South Florida Peacock Bass

Yesterday Scott Eynon and his son Steven were out with us in South Florida for a 6 hour peacock bass trip. The guys landed 16 peacock bass up to three pounds all on small live shiners. The weather has been hot and rainy lately which has clouded up the water clarity in most South Florida canals but the fish still are biting considering very hot water. For more information on peacock bass or largemouth bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee, the Florida Everglades, or Miami for peacocks e-mail me at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or call us at (954) 445-1811.

Today I fished with Dan Paszynski from Boca Raton and we boated 26 peacock bass up to 5 1/2lbs. Dan also caught two over 4 lbs. to finish off a great day. South Florida Bass Fishing 6-14-08

Bernard Washington from Ft. Lauderdale and I were out on alligator alley on Saturday and landed 20 bass to 5 lbs. all on artificials. It was difficult dodging lightning but I'm grateful for those bridges out there. We fished from 2:00 pm until about 7:00 pm and the bass fishing was just average. The rain now is starting to slow things down a little. For more information or booking a trip with us check out South Florida Fishing Adventures andd Amazon Peacock Bass Fishing Florida

South Florida Bass Fishing 6-9-08

Jim and Dwayne from Missouri were out on Monday for a bass fishing trip to the South Florida Everglades out on alligator alley. The guys boated 45 largemouth bass to 3 lbs. South Florida Bass Fishing 5-20-08

Bass fishing remains great in the Florida canals this week. Today we caught 76 largemouth up to 2 1/2 lbs. with many more missed even bigger. The clear water requires long casts but in the wind we had today that made it quite difficult. More rain is needed to cool off these hot water temperatures but not too much to bring up the water levels. The lower the water the better the fishing by far, it flushes the bass off the flats and into the main canals making them easy targets for all fisherman. South Florida Peacock Bass Report 5-16-08

Shelly and Brian Vitiello from New Hampshire were down today for peacock bass fishing in Miami. Shelly sat on the beach all day yesterday and today's intense heat would only allow them a half-day trip before the sun was too much for their northern white skin. The couple boated 8 peacocks this morning and just as we were leaving the fish were turning on. Well maybe next time guys, Florida sun in the Everglades for bass and Miami for Peacock Bass can be brutal for those northern white skined fisherman! All of the fish caught today were on the small side but we never fished past 11:00 am when the bigger peacock bass begin to surface.

South Florida Bass Fishing 5-13-08

It was off to the Everglades again today. With no wind or clouds to break up the water we only managed 33 largemouth bass up to 4 lbs. even though we did see a few bigger fish swirl up on our baits! Everything was caught on plastics. With hot water and lowering conditions fishing should continue to stay quite good for the next two to three months. As long as we don't receive massive rain storms the water will drop more making bass fishing in South Florida fantastic! We've changed the front page format of the blog because of a guide service in South Florida who likes to copy things we do. We hope you like the new homepage blog and there shouldn't be any more confusion now on who we are!

South Florida Bass Fishing 5-7-08

Scott Jungmichael and his friend Chris tried the South Florida everglades over the weekend of May 3rd and boated close to 70 largemouth bass on artificial lures. Alligator alley has been good to us this year producing over 50 to 75 bass per trip over the last few months. With water dropping and evaporating it's only going to get better especially for larger bass. Thanks guys and I'll be seeing you next year to fish South Florida for peacock bass & largemouth in this suburb fishery down here!

Come to the Florida Everglades now and enjoy some of the best bass fishing of the year and it's getting better daily. Hugh Spegiel and his wife Ruth enjoyed what South Florida is usually all about. How about close to 100 bass today! We boated at least 90? No exaggeration! It's getting wonderful and I'm quite sorry to hear about others misfortune on catching bass right now. Thanks Ruth & Hugh for great day and tomorrow it's off to Miami for peacock bass fishing again where the couple caught 38 peacock bass on Tuesday. Hugh is the champ today with this nice 6 lber.

South Florida Peacock Bass Fishing 4-29-08

It's amazing to me how South Florida outfitters who don't have an original thought in their head will do anything to copy other guides in South Florida. I've just found a copy cat company who has copied my blog because he doesn't have any class. He's been known to do this through the industry. He says he's been family owned and operated for 27 years when he just bought his first bass boat about 7 years ago. Interesting from selling tools on a truck to being in business for 27 years? I wish people would just mind their own business. Well we have been doing quite well peacock bass fishing this week and we are going out again Thursday. Tomorrow it's off to the Everglades for Largemouth bass where we've been catching 40 to 60 bass a day. Today Hugh & Ruth Spegiel landed 38 peacock bass to 4 lbs. in Miami. The colors and layout of this companies blog is exact as ours, now that's interesting?

More great fishing in the South Florida Everglades this last week. Over the weekend I was out and we boated 8 bass up to 3 lbs. all on plastics in just a few hours. We had to leave just when the fish started to eat. Yesterday evening I was out fun fishing and boated 22 bass up to 3 lbs. and missed many more. Soft plastic zoom worms have been working for me, but knowing where is the key to catching good numbers and the occasional bigger fish! South Florida Bass Fishing 4-12-08

Just more good South Florida Everglades bass fishing. Rainy weather and high water levels have slowed down the fishing somewhat but it's usually only temporary. Today I had a few local guys out for bass fishing off alligator alley and we boated about 8 bass to three pounds in a few hours of fishing. The young guys partied a little too hard last night to finish out the day as the fishing was really starting to pick up when the guys headaches were to much for the heat we were having! As the clouds and wind showed up so did the better largemouth bass. Paul and Pauley Petan from Chicago fished today with us and we boated close to 50 largemouth bass. Florida Everglades fishing in the Ft. Lauderdale areas are getting great right now with the water getting warm and water levels dropping. We caught all of our fish on plastic baits fishing the lily pads and canal drop offs. Today Brent Hill from Tennessee fished with us in the South Florida Everglades for largemouth bass. Brent and I landed over 40 bass all on plastic senkos and homemade plastic worms. The water levels are dropping and heating up flushing the bass from the flats and to the edges of the canal lily pads. The next two to three months should be the best time of this year to catch plenty of nice fish like this beautiful 6 lber caught by Brent today! South Florida Bass Fishing 3-19-08

We fished Lake Okeechobee twice last week in the rim canal South of Clewiston. Mike Greico and I boated 15 bass the first day and 6 fish the second day. Our biggest fish was only 4 lbs but we did miss two bigger ones at the side of the boat. All of our fish were caught on plastic zoom trick worms and giggy heads. With the water dropping and the temperatures heating up the bass fishing in the South Florida everglades should also be red hot very soon. A night tournament last weekend only won with 14 lbs. which would usually take over 20 lbs. to even get a check. If your interested in Peacock Bass fishing the canals are doing great right now. From Miami north to West Palm Beach we know the better place to fish right now. For current fishing reports e-mail me at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or give us a call at (954) 445-1811.

South Florida Bass Fishing 2-24-08

The South Florida Everglades bass fishing is now the place to come fish. Everyday the water levels will be lowered with anticipation of the rainy season to come. We boated 16 bass yesterday up to 3 1/2 lbs. with of course a few bigger ones missed. Most everything we caught was on plastic baits. As the water drops and heats up so will the bass fishing as the flats dry up forcing the bass into the main canals making them much easier to catch. South Florida Peacock Bass fishing is heating up in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale now. Yesterday I had Nathan Reisdorph from San Antonio, Texas out with us for his first time. We boated 21 peacock bass up to 2 1/2 lbs. on live bait. I caught 2 fish on lures and Nathan landed 19 on live bait. Spring time through mid August is the best time to catch good numbers of Peacock Bass because they love hot weather.

South Florida Peacock & Bass Fishing Reports 2-5-08

It's been a great week for bass fishing and peacock bass fishing in South Florida. Lenny Sortino from Boston fished with us for 3 days. Lenny has been here for his third time. We fished Lake Ida and the surrounding canals for largemouth bass on day one. Lenny and I boated 20 bass up to 4 lbs. Day 2 and 3 Lenny wanted Peacock Bass in Miami and he boated 19 peacocks over two days of fishing. Peacock bass and Largemouth bass in South Florida will be biting great over the next few weeks if the weather stays warm. With hot weather peacock bass will start to spawn and be quite shallow and easy to catch. Warmer weather will also lower the water levels in the Florida Everglades here in South Florida causing the bass to retreat from the flats and be easy targets in the canals.

South Florida Bass Fishing 1-09-08

The bass fishing in South Florida over the last 2 days has been pretty good. Our water is starting to heat up and bass are getting ready to spawn. We've been catching bass up to 4 lbs and on Sunday we boated 42 bass in the South Florida Everglades using senko style baits. With the water levels beginning to drop the fishing in the Everglades is starting to turn on much early than usual. By the end of January to early February the bass fishing should be red hot. The peacock bass fishing will also heat up with these warm days we are having. For more information on Bass or Peacock Bass fishing in South Florida e-mail me at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or give me a call at (954) 445-1811 for more bass catching information.

South Florida Peacock Bass Fishing Reports 1-05-08

It's been a good week peacock bass fishing in South Florida. On Saturday January 5th we went peacock bass fishing in South Florida in the Miami area and boated 17 peacocks up to 2 lbs. None of these fish were big but we had plenty of action. Most of these fish were caught on live shiners in deeper water. The action should really pick up good within the next few weeks with just a few warm days. Peacock Bass in South Florida lakes and canals like warm to hot water for them to be really aggressive. For more information on fishing South Florida for peacock bass or largemouth bass e-mail me at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or give me a call at (954) 445-1811 and I'll let you know where the bass are biting!
