Just returning from Brazil deep in the Amazon rainforest for giant Peacock Bass was just awesome. We caught Peacock Bass up to 16 lbs. mostly on topwater lures. Check out these other website links for more detailed information on fishing the Amazon or South Florida for largemouth bass or peacock bass. The food and service was outstanding and highly recommended. They offer many options for comfort from yachts to fly-in floating cabins with air-conditioning! Brazil was a very friendly place to visit and fish with no ploblems. Amazon Peacock Bass Report

Well I just returned from the Amazon deep in Brazil for big Peacock Bass. The trip was incredible and the service was second to none! The Peacock Bass fishing was alittle slow but we still boated 40 Peacock Bass up to 16 lbs. Week two saw a big increase in size and numbers with fish being boated over 20 pounds. Big Peacock Bass are best caught on large topwater lures with propellers. The explosion up top will make your heart miss a beat I'm sure! You can also use jigs, jerkbaits, and flies for the fly fisherman. The smaller lures will usually catch twice as many fish but usually smaller Peacock Bass. South Florida also offers Peacock Bass fishing with the Amazon Butterfly Peacock Bass in most local lakes and canals through out Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
